Third, pathological anxiety can lead to obvious painful feelings and significantly reduce the efficiency of individuals in daily life, work, study and other aspects.

Pathological anxiety, generally both the emotional experience of anxiety and the physical symptoms, is serious and brings obvious pain and negative effects on daily life, showing a persistent/recurring trend.

If only the experience of anxiety, or only the physical symptoms, can not be directly defined as pathological anxiety.

3.What about anxiety disorders?

Anxiety disorder, a medical diagnostic term, needs to be made by a psychiatrist after professional evaluation, with rigorous diagnostic criteria and requirements.

In general, the diagnosis of anxiety disorder requires that, in addition to the basic manifestations of pathologic anxiety described above, the duration of symptoms is greater than or equal to 6 months, and that these symptoms are not caused by physical or other psychiatric disorders.
